The authors list that in March 1965, in French Lick, Indiana, youngsters saw a 10 feet green monster with glowing red eyes, and named it "Fluorescent Freddie."

The sources are indicated as The Indianapolis News, Indiana, for March 15, 1965, according to Green, "Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us", page 205.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in French Lick, Indiana, on March 15, 1965, at night, several local youngsters reported seeing a 10-foot tall "monster" that was green in color and had glowing red eyes. It was apparently seen in a wooded area. No other information.

Albert Rosales indicates as source John Green, Sasquatch, The Apes Among Us.

Points to consider:

Obviously there is nothing more here than a newspaper article, possibly extremely short, telling the alleged monster encounter of teenagers. It then became a bigfoot sighting, reproduced from books to books to website without any investigation or research.
