1963, RESISTENCIA, EL CHACO, ARGENTINA, THREE RAILWAYMEN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The editor of the Flying Saucer Review, Gordon Creighton, indicated in 1966, that in Resistencia, Province of El Chaco, Argentina, at an undetermined date of 1963 at 06:30 p.m., three man of a of a freight train crew going from Presidencia La Plaza to Resistencia saw a tall being, of "over two meters in height", dressed in a one-piece red garment, walking along the railway line towards them.

The being is described as human, with a pale face, long fair hair, and carrying something in both hands "as though making an offering"; which was said to look like the body of a small child.

Suddenly, when the locomotive was not more than five meters from the entity, he "shot upwards as though in a whirlwind" and "vanished."

In Resistencia, at the same time of day, Justo Mastin and his son were sitting in their garden at supper when "a strange being descended towards them". His description of this being, as given to the press, tallied in all respects with the account given by a train crew.

[Ref. gc1:] GORDON CREIGHTON:

Gordon Creighton indicates that in Resistencia, Province of El Chaco, Argentina, at an undetermined date of 1963 at 06:30 p.m., three man of a of a freight train crew going from Presidencia La Plaza to Resistencia saw a tall being, of "over two meters in height", dressed in a one-piece red garment, walking along the railway line towards them.

Gordon Creighton indicates that the source is the Flying Saucer Review for January/February 1966.

[Ref. jj1:] JEAN-JACQUES JAILLAT:

The author indicates that one evening of the year 1963, in Resistencia, province of El Chaco, in Argentina, three railwaymen managed to observe a being, two meters tall at least, dressed of a very red one piece combination, who seemed to carry like an offering what appeared to be the body of a little child.

The author comments that such a vision has a rich symbolic system since it combines the giant of the Celtic tales and the "little child", and that there are intense emotional contents. The author presents the case as illustrating his thesis that UFOs and their occupants are "psychic materializations."

The author indicates that the sources are FSR for January/February 1966 and Charles Bowen's book pages 127-128.

[Ref. jr1:] JEAN-PAUL RONECKER:

Jean-Paul Ronecker indicates that according to the Flying Saucer Review for January-February 1966, one evening of 1963, at an unknown exact date, in Resistencia, in the province of El Chaco in Argentina, three railwaymen in a train going from Presidencia La Plaza to Resistencia saw a being of more than two meters in height dressed of a red one-piece suit advancing along the railway.

The being had a completely human appearance, with a very pale face and long hair of light color. It held something between its hands "as if it presented an offering" which appeared to be the body of a child.

Whereas the locomotive was at no more than with a few meters of the entity, the flabbergasted railwaymen saw it "rush in the air like a swirl" and disappear suddenly.

Points to consider:

No original source about this incident is indicated. There is no precise date, the witnesses are not named. No UFO is observed. It is not possible to check any of the few details or to estimate the reliability of the story.
