1959, GIANT ROCK, CALIFORNIA, USA, HARRY MAYER:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Giant Rock, in California, was a place where an "Interplanetary Spacecraft Convention" was regularly held. People gathered to listen to the lectures by people who came to talk of their alleged contacts with extraterrestrials and their trips in outer space in flying saucers. It was absolutely not considered seriously by the major ufology groups in the US, it was much more an early version of the "New Age" folklore of the 1980's 1990's than meeting to seriously study UFO reports. Some of the people who attended this Convention even claimed that they were themselves from other planets!

At one of these convention at an unspecified date in 1959, one Harry Mayer reportedly observed globes of light hovering above the runway of the tiny airport just on the Convention grounds. The story says he run towards the lights, but a pretty young blonde woman suddenly appeared in front of him and put out her arms out to stop him.

Mayer was 6 feet tall, and the woman was 5 feet tall only, but Mayer told ufologist William Hamilton in 1996 that she had "the strength of many men." She wore a coat, and under the coat, a chocolate brown uniform that looked like a ski suit.

They spoke together, and he learned that her name was Mary and that was from Venus.

Hamilton described Mayer as a no-nonsense guy who had experienced something strange and was doing his best to persuade him to go to Giant Rock and assist him in contacting Mary once more. Hamilton did this, but reported: "needless to say, we never made contact."

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Giant Rock, California, in 1959, late in the evening, while attending a convention Harry Maier observed mysterious globes of light hovering over the runway at the local small airport. As he ran toward them, a pretty young blond woman suddenly appeared in front of him, and put out her arm stopping him in his tracks. She was barely more than five-feet tall and Mayer was well over six feet, she had "the strength of many men." They spoke long enough for Mayer to learn that her name was Mary. Under her coat she was wearing a chocolate-brown uniform that looked something like a ski suit. She claimed she was from Venus.

The blog's author indicates a comment by Bill Hamilton (William F. Hamilton III) that says in Chapter 1 of his book "Alien Magic", he wrote that during one of the meetings in El Monte in 1959, he met Harry Mayer, who told him he had an encounter with a petite blond girl from Venus at Giant Rock, that the girl's name was Mary, that she wore a chocolate-colored ski-type uniform under a coat. Harry Mayer had sighted globes of light hovering over the Giant Rock runway, and was chasing these lights on foot when Mary abruptly stopped him.

Mary is said to be only 5-foot 3-inches tall while Harry Mayer was 6-foot 4-inches tall, yet she arrested him in his tracks with the strength of many men according to Harry Mayer, who is described as a no-nonsense guy who had experienced something strange and was doing his best to persuade Bill Hamilton to go to Giant Rock and assist him in contacting Mary once more. It is said that Bill Hamilton never passed up a chance to visit Giant Rock and went with him, but "Needless to say, we never made contact."

Points to consider:

I cannot figure out how I could utter "this is a true story" or "this is not a true story"; I just sit on the fence and think "I do not believe in this story, so far."

Alternatives exist:

• Maybe this is totally made up.
• Perhaps that the totality of the scientific community, astronomers, planetologists, technicians, is wrong, and perhaps then Venus is not as they think a totally hostile world to any human life form, and than there are really pretty chicks called Mary who live on Venus and come to the Earth to chatter with people in Flying Saucers And Our Fiends From Space conventions. (Personally I dare to doubt this, but I would back down in front of any convincing proof).
• Perhaps the entire Reality is a vast lure created by a mysterious almighty intelligence in order to send false pretty Venusian named Mary to "contactees" gatherings with some aims whose comprehension completely escapes us poor human victims of such super trickery. (Personally I think that it is rather the people who explain everything this way who are the toys of the malevolent spells of their own imagination, or maybe they are right, but in this case, they should panic since what they are reading at this very moment, yes, here, this, what you are just reading, might be only one more illusion produced in front of their eyes on a fake computer screen in a fake universe they are trapped in.)
