AUGUST 1959, FORT GARLAND, CALIFORNIA, USA, SOMEONE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Ufologist and folklorist Thomas E. Bullard reported in 1987 that near Fort Garland, California, on August 1959, at night, someone was driving in the desert with a friend when the car ahead of them suddenly disappeared.

Later, around sunset time, he went alone to take photographs and was sitting in the car when he apparently experienced a time lapse.

He remembers standing in a transparent cylinder inside a large room with several humanoids wearing armor-like outfits. They told him by telepathy that they were in a hovering space station above the earth. He was taken to a room where he was shown an anti-gravity device. He was also told that they had taken the vehicle and driver that he had seen to disappear earlier.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Fort Garland, California, on August 1959, at night, the witness was driving in the desert with a friend when the car ahead of them suddenly disappeared. Later around sunset he went alone to take photographs and was sitting in the car when he apparently experienced a time lapse. He remembers standing in a transparent cylinder inside a large room; there he saw several humanoids wearing armor like outfits. They communicated with the witness by using telepathy and told him they were in a hovering space station above the earth. He was taken to a room where he was shown an anti-gravity device. He was also told that they had taken the vehicle and driver that he had seen to disappear earlier.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Thomas E. Bullard, UFO Abductions the Measure Of A Mystery.

Points to consider:

From the data that are available for me, it is not possible to exclude that the story of the experience is the result of the use of hypnosis on the person who told it. This and other lacks of crucial information considerably weakens the value of this case.
