DECEMBER 19, 1954, VALENCIA, CARABOBO, VENEZUELA, JOSE PARRA:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The case which seems to be have been rather quickly communicated to the APRO by one of their correspondent in Venezuela remains in the ufological literature in the form of short summaries indicating that on December 19, 1954, in the early the morning, a jockey named José Para, aged 18, came into a National Security office and told about the following encounter:

He was jogging on a road with an aim of loosing a little weight, between Valencia and Caracas, in Venezuela, in the night at approximately 11:00 p.m., when he saw six small men pushing rocks on the side of the way and loading them in a disc-shaped craft hovering less than 3 meters of the ground.

He wanted to run away , but found himself immobilized on the spot by a ray of violet color emitted by a small device that one of the beings aimed at him. He remained there helpless while the beings jumped back on board the disc which he quickly lost from sight in the sky.

Another disc or the same disc is said to have been seen by several other people between midnight and 03:15 a.m., hovering at one meter approximately above the ground close to the Bargula sanatorium in Valencia.

Investigators are said to have checked the location indicated by Parra, and to have noted a certain number of footprints there and they could not identify what had produced them.

Gordon Creighton indicates that between Valencia and Caracas, in Venezuela, in the early morning of December 19, 1954, a 18 years old jockey named José Parra was training on the road when he saw six small men pushing rocks on the side of the way and loading them in a disc-shaped apparatus, which hovered within less than 3 meters of the ground.

Parra retreated, but found himself immobilized by a ray of violet color emitted by a small device that one of the entities pointed at him. He remained helpless there while the creatures jumped back on board the disc; which quickly disappeared in the sky.

Another disc or the same disc was seen by several other people between midnight and 03:15 a.m., hovering at one meter approximately above the ground close to the Bargula sanatorium in Valencia.

Investigators checked the spot indicated by Parra, and found a certain number of footprints which they did not succeed in identifying.

He then started to run away, but one of the little men pointed something at him; which gave off a violet-colored light and paralyzed him. He stood there helpless while the little beings entered into their craft; which took off.
