Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

A French newspaper reported on November 3, 1954 that among other sightings of flying saucers in France and in other countries, that, according to newspapers of Calcutta, saucers were seen in this area on November 2, 1954 and in the previous days. Newspapers of Calcutta were advised of the presence above the suburbs of the town of a "brightly illuminated circular object" flying from East to West, and a witness claimed to have seen human forms on board the saucer before it disappeared.
