NOVEMBER 1951, GIBBSTOWN, NEW JERSEY, USA, A CHILD:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

In 1909, there were rumors of a "Devil" haunting places in New Jersey, USA. Paranormal societies, cryptozoologists and one ufologist mention that a smaller wave of "devil" sightings occurred again in 1951.

It seems that a newspaper reported on a 10-year-old child who simply saw, in Gibbstown, a "blood-faced monster" through his bedroom window in November 1951, which became a sighting by a group of children. Others told about screams in a forest.

Narratives:

[Ref. tt1:] TROY TAYLOR:

Troy Taylor indicates that in November 1951, a group of children were allegedly cornered by "the Jersey Devil" at the Duport Clubhouse in Gibbstown. The creature bounded away without hurting anyone but reports claimed that it was spotted by dozens of witnesses before finally vanishing again.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Gibbstown, New Jersey, on November 22, 1951, at night, a group of youngsters had gathered at a party a the Duport Clubhouse, when one of the boys glanced out a window to see a "thing" staring at him with blood oozing out of its face.

After the boys saw the creature, their chaperone called the police, but by the time the police had arrived the creature had disappeared.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Michael Norman and Beth Scott, Haunted America.

[Ref. gs1:] "A GALAXY OF STARS":

The website indicates that in 1951 there was panic in Gibbstown, New Jersey, after local boys claimed to have seen a humanoid monster and heard screams.

[Ref. pg1:] THE PARANORMAL AND GHOST SOCIETY:

A web page of this society tells that in 1951, the Philadelphia Record told that a 10 year-old boy saw a bloody-faced monster outside his bedroom window in Gibbstown, New Jersey. There were also at least three reports of screams in the forest, and witnesses disagreed on the "Jersey Devil's" appearance.

Points to consider:

The story, with a very young 10-year-old child as witness, does not look like a credible close encounter of the third kind with UFO occupants.
