July 4, 1947, Forstweiler, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Mrs. Paula T.:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Famous "Ancient Astronauts" Swiss theorician and author Erich von Däniken wrote in 1974 that on July 4, 1947 - more liekly August 23, 1947 - in Tannhausen, Germany, "Mrs. T. Paula" (actually "Paulina H."), 48, "saw Mary on various occasions in a wreath of gleaming white roses."

This was included later in Albert Rosales' book on "humanoid encounters" for 1947; though it was investigated by the Church at the time and declared a fraud.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates that in Tannhausen, Schwaben, Germany, on August 23, 1947, at an unknown time, Mrs. Paula T., 48, saw on several occasions the figure of the Virgin Mary in a wreath made out of white roses.

The source is indicated as "Erlch Von Daniken, 'Erscheinungen'".

Points to consider:

Erich von Däniken, (www.daniken.com), Swiss citizen, born in 1935, became famous by publishing from 1968 on, books translated worldwide claiming the influence of extraterrestrial visitors on the first human civilizations - what is now called the "Ancient Astronaut Theory". He used ideas already published in France by author Robert Charroux. In his book "Erscheinungen", there is a list of "Blessed Virgin" appearances reports, briefly described and without any indication of sources, such as this one, which he attributed to extraterrestrials influencing humanity through such supernatural manifestations of religious appearance. Some ufologists share this point of view and therefore cited the reports of this list, without any other effort.

In reality: the case takes place at Forstweiler (not "Forsweiler" and not "Tannhausen"), today Gemeinde Tannhausen, Germany, in 1947. The "main witness" "Paulina H.", not "Paula T.", was convicted as a fraudster in November 1948 by Bishop Sproll of Rottenburg after ecclesiastical investigation. (see "Les Frauderus de Dieu", by Joachim Bouflet, Presses de la Renaissance, France, 2007.

The case, declared fraudulent by the Church after investigation, obviously has nothing to do intrinsically with UFO occupations.
