1947, Grouse Mauntain, British Columbia, Canada, Nellie Werner and her husband:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

A 1975 Sasquatch aka Bigfoot book apparently said that in 1947, Nellie Werner and her husband were driving their jeep down a logging road of Grouse Mountain, near Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada.

Rounding a bend, they almost collided with two almost naked people with long hair and wrapped in skins. One of the beings carried a stick with a sort of bag on the end and appeared to be leading the other, which seemed to have its hands tied together. The leader was 2.5-meter-tall, the other 1.8-meter tall and broader. Both had bushy eyebrows and small eyes.

One source says Mr. and Mrs. Werner reported to one od the book authors, René Dahinden; and that the skins these people were searing was deer skins.

This story entered a "skeptical" ufology catalogue circa 2016.

Driving along logging road, witnesses came upon two tall beings, with a deer skin wrapped round them.

Points to consider:

Was this some actors on a movie shooting?

I do not know, but they were certainly not from another planet, certainly not UFO occupants.

This is one of the many cases British "skeptical" ufologist Peter Rogerson imported in ufology in order to demonstrate that "imagination and invention" always existed.

Unfortunately, this is one more such case in which it is not obvious at all that imagination or invention was at work.
