[Ref. go1:] GODELIEVE VAN OVERMEIRE:

Godelieve Van Overmeire indicates that in February 1941, Wearyan River, Australia, a nurse went to an isolated village to go to look after a man wounded by a bullet in the leg. While she cured the wound, two men appeared, dressed in white robes as if they came out of a theater stage, and assisted her. When she looked up to thank them, they had disappeared. Several aboriginals were witnesses of this phenomenon.

Godelieve Van Overmeire indicates that the source is Janet and Colin Bord in "Modern Mysteries of the World", Guild Publishing London 1989, page 309.

Points to consider:

I have found no information on the real source of the story. It could well be some invention of some tabloid or other sensationalistic source. This and the lack of any detail or trace of investigation makes the story a low credibility story.

No UFO or any apparatus is mentioned, the two men are apparently human beings. Possibly they were just normal doctors in white blouse the nurse did not know were there, which had gone when she waned to thank them, which was possibly the only mystery to her, later distorted and rearranged as some more exotic mystery.
