March 1932, Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain, Manuel Gimenez Junquera:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The Forteean researcher Chris Aubeck apparently discovered that near Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain, in March 1932, in the afternoon, Manuel Gimenez Junquera, goats shepherd, and other men of the same profession, were in the hills of the city, when they suddenly felt a strong wind and heard a big noise.

It was mid-day and the weather was good, but it seemed to them that the whirlwind was approaching. The goats panicked and the men squatted in the grass. Above their heads was "a round object, made of something like glass, which emitted streams of air below," sending dust from the ground upwards as it moved.

The object looked like two hollow plates glued together with many windows around. It was about 15 meters in diameter. After flying over the young men, it landed near where Manuel was hiding, and two tall beings came out of the object.

After 15 minutes, which went very slowly for the witnesses, the beings returned to their craft which took off from the ground and flew away.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Cadiz, Andalusia, Spain, on March 1932, in the afternoon, "Manuel Gimenez Junquera, a goat shepherd, and other men of the same occupation, were out in the hills of the city, when they suddenly felt a strong wind and a loud noise. It was mid-day and the weather was good, but it seemed to them that a whirlwind was approaching. The goats panicked and the men crouched down in the grass. Over their heads there passed "a round object, made of something like glass, which emitted strong jets of air from underneath," sending the dust of the ground up in swirls as it moved. The object looked like two soup plates stuck together with many windows around the edge. It was around 15 meters in diameter. After flying over the young men it landed near to where Manuel was hiding. Two beings of great stature came out of the object. After 15 minutes, which passed very slowly for the witnesses, the beings returned to their craft. The object lifted off the ground and flew away."

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Chris Aubeck, Return To Magonia".

March 1932 Afternoon.

CADIZ (ANDALUSIA : SPAIN)

A group of goat herders, including Manuel Gimenez Junquera were in the hills outside Cadiz when they heard a loud noise and felt a strong wind, as if whirlwind was approaching. The men hid in the grass as the goats panic. They saw a sort of glassy round object, emitting strong air blasts from its underside, disturbing the dust, pass overhead and land. They saw that it was like two soup plates, rim to rim, with a row of windows around its edge, and was 15m in diameter. It landed near Manuel and he saw two huge beings emerge from it. After 15 minutes they returned to their craft, which took off and flew away.

Rosales citing Chris Aubeck

Points to consider:

Chris Aubeck is a Fortean researcher who, if I remember well, did live in Spain for a time. Knowing his work, I am quite sure that the fact he found the story means that it did exist somewhere. But very sadly, there is no indication about the origine of the story - who reported it, who collected ot, when, etc. And I found no other information at all, Alvbert Rosales seems to be the only one who cared for the story.

The "beings" are not decribed, except for to say they were "tall"...

Unlike many of the collected "pre-Arnold" reports, that often look like folklore or even "Blessed Virgin" appearances, with "little men" without any "saucer", this one has a clear "extraterrestrial" tone. The description of the saucer both in post-150 "cliché" terms ("two plates glued together") and in "1932-sounding" terms ("windows", "glass") is odd. But as the original text is not available to me, I cannot risk more comments, except fo to suspect it is rpobably heavily backdated and the credibility is totally unknown to me.
