About February 1930, Frant, Sussex, U-K., three people:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

About 2016, appeared in "skeptical" British ufologist Peter Rogerson's INTCAT catalog of encounters with "entities", a case came apparently from a 1948 or 1952 ghost stories book by Elliott O'Donnell, apparently first published as a letter in a newspaper called Morning Post for February 21, 1930:

At the approximate date of February 1930, in Sussex, England, three people driving towards Frant on the road from Lamberhurst through a wooded area, saw what looked like a car parked on the side of the road about 150 meters ahead.

After some moments, the thing just vanished. There were no turn offs at the site.

I note that obviously no entties were reported in this case.

February 1930. (approx. date)

Three people driving towards Frant on the road from Lamberhurst, through a wooded area saw what looked like a car parked on the side of the road about 150m ahead. After some moments the thing just vanished. There were no turn offs at the site.

O’ Donnell 1948 p67 citing letter in Morning Post 21 February. 1930

Points to consider:

Elliott O'Donnell (1872-1965) was an author known primarily for his books about ghosts. He claimed to have seen a ghost, described as an elemental figure covered with spots, when he was five years old. He also claimed to have been strangled by a mysterious phantom in Dublin, however, no permanent effect would seem to have been suffered.

He wrote numerous books about ghosts stories and the supernatural:

I found out that soe Elliott O'Donnel biblighraphies date his "Haunted Britain" book of 1948, others of 1952.

The story is far too vague for us to say much about it. Was it a "ghost car" or an unidentified craft? But one thing seems clear to me: no figure, no entity had been reported, so I do not understand why Peter rogerson included this in his INTCAT catalog which by its definition is supposed to be a ufological catalog of encounters with entities or UFO occupants.
