Summer 1930 or 1932, Valence, Drôme, France, Jeoffroy Romezin:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The case is located in the Summer of 1930 or 1932, in the evening, in the district of L'Epervière in Valence, the Drôme, France; the witness was 8 or 10 then and was named "J. R." or "Jeoffroy Romezin" (probably Geoffroy Romezin), depending on the source.

The house where he lived with his father, his mother having died, had no inside toilet, and he went out to satisfy a natural urge, about ten meters from the house, on the other side of the courtyard, behind a hedge of privet, at the edge of a small stream that flows into the Rhône river, 400 meters away.

He was doing so partially hidden by the hedge, and when he got up, he saw in the yard at 5-6 meters from him, a little man, 50 to 60 centimeters tall, smaller than him, who was coming in his direction.

The little man was wearing a kind of gray uniform. Since the events were old, the witness did not remember specific details about the character's head, nor the cut of the clothes he wore.

When this little man saw the witness, he turned around and ran away through the kitchen garden and disappeared into the night. The detail that struck the witness was that he "had short legs running very fast."

Subsequently, for many years, the witness was afraid to go out at night, and he checked every evening whether the doors and windows were closed. He had never spoken of his strange encounter with his father who raised him.

The story reportedly comes from an investigation by David Duquesnoy, president of the ufology group Association des Amis de Marc Thirouin, who published it in their newsletter issue #20.

The witness was later a member of the A.A.M.T. the ufology group who brought up his case.

Narratives:

[Ref. fr1:] MICHEL FIGUET AND JEAN-LOUIS RUCHON:

Summer 1930 or 1932 in the evening. Valence (District of L'Epervière) 26000 B3.

WITNESS. Mr. J. R ... (XXX), 8 or 10 years old.

OBSERVATION. A small being 50 to 60 cm tall, dressed in gray uniform.

EVENTS. Mr. J. R ... was then 8 or 10 years old, the house where he lived with his father (his mother was deceased) did not have all the amenities. He had gone out to satisfy a natural need about ten meters from the house, on the other side of the courtyard, behind a hedge of privet, on the edge of a small stream that flows into the Rhone river, 400 meters from there.

The witness was partially hidden by the hedge, when he stood up, he saw in the yard, 5-6 meters from him, a small man from 50 to 60 centimeters (smaller than him) who came in his direction. He seemed dressed in a sort of gray uniform. When he saw the young witness, he turned around and fled through the kitchen garden and disappeared into the night.

TO NOTE. Given the age of the facts, the witness does not remember specific details about the character's head, nor the cut of the clothes he was wearing. On the other hand, one detail hit the witness a lot, "he had small legs running very fast".

Subsequently, for many years, the witness was unable to go out at night, he checked every night whether the doors and windows were closed. He never spoke of his strange encounter with his father who raised him.

SOURCES. Investigation by Mr. David Duquesnoy (President of A.A.M.T.).

The author indicates that in 1930 or 1932 one evening, in Valence in the 26, Mr. J R. saw in a court with 5 or 6 meters of him, a small being from 50 to 60 cm in height, vêtu of a gray uniform, and who came in his direction.

When it saw the witness, to be it quickly made half-turn to disappear in the night. It had small legs which "ran very quickly."

The author says the source is an investigation and a communication by Mr D. Duquesnoy of the AAMT.

Upon being seen the little figure turned around and ran across a vegetable field and out of sight.

[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:

The author indicates that in 1930, perhaps, on an unknown date, in the evening, in Valence, Drome, France, there was a close encounter of the third kind.

He indicates that the year is not certain, because his source located the incident between 1930 and 1932. The witness who requested anonymity was 8 to 10 years old and resided in the district! L'Epervière with his parents. This home did not have all the amenities, so the child was out to satisfy a natural need, ten meters from the house, on the other side of the yard, behind a hedge. He recounted the event as follows:

"When I get up, I see in the yard, five or six meters from me, a little man of 0.50 to 0.60 m, smaller than me, who comes in my direction. And external house light allows visibility. It is dressed in a sort of gray uniform. When he sees me he turns around and runs away through the vegetable garden and disappears into the night. I remember no other details except that I was struck by the fact that the dwarf had short legs running very fast."

Jean Sider indicates that for many years, this witness was afraid to go out at night, and he checked every evening if the doors and windows were closed properly. He never spoke of this incident to his father who raised him.

He indicates that the source is an investigation by David Duquesnoy, of the AAMT - Association of Friends of Michel Thirouin, which was forwarded to him by Jean Marie Bigorne.

Points to consider:

"Jeoffroy Romezin" may actually spell "Geoffroy Romezin".

A very late report apparently. See the List of Issues below.

The "Association des Amis de Marc Thirouin" was based 29, rue Berthelot, in Valence.

Members were David Duquesnoiy and his wife, Jean-Pierre Pattard and his wife, Michel Figuet, Jean-Michel Fournier and his wife, Jean-Louis Seguet, Luc Vincent, and... Geoffroy Romezin and his wife!
