Narratives:

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in the Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine, in 1920 at an unknown time " During the Russian civil war, a mobile Red Army group was moving along a local road in the rugged mountains of the Crimean Peninsula. There were a total of five soldiers including one woman. They were moving in a cart wagon and were armed with rifles and “Maksim” machine guns. Suddenly they noticed a lighted area on the side of the road and the stopped near the road prepared their weapons and began to check the area. They soon came upon a strange dome-shaped object on the ground and several tall figures walking near the object. The figures were described as dressed in a kind of armored suit, resembling chainmaille, The figures were about 2 meters in height, or taller. Thinking that these were foreign enemies the group prepared to fire upon the strangers with their Maksim machine guns but were suddenly blinded by a bright flash of light and knocked down loosing consciousness. When they returned to their senses again, the object and the strange figures had disappeared. "

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Anton Anfalov, quoting 'UFO-Liaisons of the Universe' Lugansk, Ukraine ".

[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:

Jean Sider indicates that in 1920, Crimea, Ukraine, there was a case believed to have occurred "during the civil war."

A mobile unit of the Red Army was moving in a truck on a winding path mountains of the Crimean peninsula. There were five soldiers including a woman, in a vehicle. They were all armed with rifles and "Maxim machine guns." At some point, they saw a lighted area on one side of the road, and thus they stopped their car to see what happened.

They soon arrived near a domed object placed on the ground around which were moving large silhouettes, at least two meters tall, probably more, wearing clothes that were very similar to chainmail armors.

Believing these were enemies, the group prepared to shoot on the strangers with machine guns, but all were stopped by a flash of light that hit them until they became unconscious. When they recovered their spirits and physical means, they found that the tall creatures and their craft had disappeared.

Jean Sider indicates that the sources are "Rosales, according to Anton Anfalov, UFO-Liaisons of the Universe, Lugansk, Ukraine" and comments that "It seems a bit far-fetched, but why not?" adding that Anton A. Anfalov is the director of a UFO research center in the south of Ukraine, and occasionally published texts in the English magazine FSR.

Points to consider:

It has been impossible to me so far to find what "UFO-connections of the Universe" is, as this is certainly an Anglicized title of some Russian or Ukrainian source.

In other words, the credibility of the story is not assured. Many UFO magazines in Russia, Ukraine and other Eastern European countries simply invent stories like this.

As Sider says, Dr. Anfalov is not to be ignored. But he is not the direct source, he only communicated the case to Albert Rosales. And I know for having exchanged with him that he never meant, by communicating such reports, that they must be considered true. He is well aware that magazines make up sensational stories like this. So sider is wring in giving to the report the credibility one may rightfully give to Dr. Anfalov.
