ABOUT 1914, INVERARY, ARGYLL AND BUTE, U-K., A YOUNG BOY:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Apparently, author William Michael Mott wrote that in Inverary, Scotland, circa 1914, in the afternoon, a young boy was riding his tricycle along a pathway near the city, when he fell.

He thinks to this day that he probably broke his arm. After sitting alone and crying for a few minutes, he was a "little person" or a "little man", no more than 2.5 feet tall, appear out of nowhere to assist him. "Somehow" the "little person" healed the boy's injuries almost instantly.

The young boy asked the little man who he was, and the reply came that he was a gnome; the boy observed that he resembled more a "leprechaun" and the little man corrected him patiently, saying that no, he was a gnome.

About this time the boy's parents who had been looking for him came near to the scene, and the little man scurried away into the underbrush. The parents did not believe his story.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates that in Inverary, Scotland, circa 1914, in the afternoon, "While riding his tricycle along a pathway near this city, the witness, a young boy, took a hard tumble, and thinks to this day that he probably broke his arm. After he'd been sitting there alone and crying for a few minutes, a little person---no more than two and a half feet tall...appeared out of nowhere to assist him. Somehow he tended to the boy and healed his injury almost instantly. The young boy asked the little man who he was, and the reply came that he was a gnome; the boy observed that he resembled more a "leprechaun" and the little man corrected him patiently, saying that no, he was a gnome. About this time the boy's parents who had been looking for him, came near to the scene, and the little man scurried away into the underbrush. His parents did not believe his story."

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Wm Michael Mott, Hidden Neighbors".

He comments that "It appears to be an early meeting with a humanoid that apparently cured the Witness injuries."

Points to consider:

William Michael Mott is a freelance artist and writer who collected Fortean phenomena, cryptozoology reports, UFO sighting reports, Bible stories, mythology, and folklore stories of all sorts and wrote books about it. Exactly like John Keel then Jacques Vallée did long before, he claims fairy stories, UFO abductions and most other "paranormal" activities is a single phenomenon. His theory is that there are some sorts of "cavern dwellers" living underground and undersea in caves and interconnected tunnels who interact with humanity: they are hostile and want to interbreed with us.

Like Keel, Vallée, Sider, Janet and Colin Bord, and many others, he does not seem very interested in questioning the reality of folk tales etc., he theorizes just like if all of it was true. Contrarily to Vallée who does not really choose between theories of aliens, parallel worlds, time travelers or a malevolent human agency, or Sider who eventually concludes that all the UFO, Fortean and folk stuff is illusions created by... an extraterrestrial intelligence, Moot says he is certain that the malevolent entities are of purely terrestrial origin.
