Summary:

A 41-year-old man published on January 1, 2014, on the "YouTube" website, a video titled "ufos hoenheim".

He explains in French and in English that he "lives in a small town in eastern France in Alsace in Hoenheim" and that on the night of the New Year he observed "some luminous appearances in the sky" and that we are "let alone to judge" what we see.

In the video file, he noted that it was at 02:20, the sky was cloudy, that he filmed with a Samsung Galaxy 3, a mobile phone camera.

The very shaky 8.54 minutes video shows a neighbor's house, the dark sky, New Year fireworks, and slow-moving specs of lights that look like distant Chinese lanterns.

A reader commented that in January 2014 he "halucinates i saw the same thing at the level of ostwald only there were 2.?"

Discussion:

I did not find the address of this person in the phone directory, so it was maybe someone who has been visiting Hoenheim and was not aware that the Alsatians have been launching Chinese lanterns frequently in the recent years, obviously also to celebrate the New Year.
