ALSACAT-2012-09-15-GRIESHEIMPRESMOLSHEIM-1
In March 2014, I found on a UFO website a short UFO sighting report by "Dididou" stating on that on September 15, 2012, at 09:50 p.m., on the highway with another person, they viewed "like an orange constellation " of a dozen orange yellowish balls that seemed much closer than the other stars in the sky.
As they were on the highway, the witness explained that he could not tell if the balls were moving. They disappeared after one another. The observation length was about 6 minutes.

Date: 09/15/2012
Department: 67 (Bas-Rhin)
Localization: GRIESHEIM NEAR MOLSHEIM
Time: 09:50 p.m.
Numbers [sic] of witnesses: 2 people
Type of observation: NL: Nocturnal Lights
Approxima [sic] duration of the observation: 6 minutes
What was seen: YELLOW ORANGEISH BALLS
Description of the facts:
Passing on the highway, we saw like an oranges constellation but that seemed much closer than the other stars in the sky, about a dozen balls. Being on the highway I cannot tell if they were moving, but they disappeared one after another.
DIDIDOU
From the localization of the witnesses, I am tempted to suggest they saw one or more airplanes or helicopters landing at the airport of Strasbourg-Entzheim, as the runway is about 5 kilometers away only and right in the axis of the highway.
However, the description makes me think of the now very common Chinese lanterns that so often explain UFO reports in Alsace also in the 2000s.
Above: The place of observation, probably about the green dot, is almost in line with the Entzheim airport's runway.
Probable Chinese lanterns.
