ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

I start with Colmar

Colmar and its region / Various facts

COLMAR Scooter fires Firefighters responded to a scooter fire in an interior courtyard, boulevard du Champ de Mars in Colmar, on Wednesday shortly after 6.30 p.m. In the evening, shortly before 9:40 p.m., they put out another scooter fire, parked in the bicycle room at Colmar station. The "boom" of a meteorite? The explosion heard on Tuesday around 5.30 pm south of Colmar had led firefighters and gendarmes to reconnaissance in the area of ??Wettolsheim, Herrlisheim as well…

la Roche-sur-Yon

Hello everyone. Friday, November 20, 2009 in Vendée, something strange happened which was not reported in the local press. The whole area around La Roche-sur-Yon suffered a big explosion. It was 7.20pm when my roller shutters (lowered position) found themselves pressed against my bay window with a huge simultaneous boom. It took my breath away.

and there, the incredible, and this time in Belgium, followed by the explanation and excuse of the Defense ...

the fact dates from 01/11/2007…

the whole article is surprising as well as the words of the Defense ...

Yesterday, shortly after 11 am we all heard this explosion in Brussels, here is the explanation!

Two F-16 pass the sound barrier south of Brussels

I quote:

Two F-16 fighters broke the sound barrier over the south of the Brussels Region this Wednesday morning, around 11:00 a.m., during an interception maneuver of a civilian airliner with which contact radio had been lost, announced the Defense Ministry, which apologized to the population for the inconvenience caused.

Special circumstances?

"The sound barrier has been crossed exceptionally above Brussels (Uccle) and Hoeilaart. These are therefore special circumstances, "the ministry said in a statement.

for the Colmar explosion, I was able to find a witness at Spica.org

“A large explosion was heard on Monday November 30, 2009 at 5.15 pm in Colmar and its surroundings.

A yellow racing car was seen on Avenue de Friborg heading for Colmar station by a witness. North / South direction towards the Ricoh factories. Descending trajectory. The noise and vibrations were particularly important towards the south exit of Colmar and towards Sainte Croix en Plaine.

An article appeared the next day in Colmar's DNA, news section. "

Discussion:

Map.

The SPICA group suggests it could have been a meteor. It is likely they had in their data a little more information that would support this explanation.

Evaluation:

Totally insufficient information, probable meteor.
