On the ufology forum "Les Mystères des OVNIS", "Felyanne" reported on March 8, 2009 "strange phenomena" in the Bas-Rhin:
On February 19, 2009 at about 9 p.m. south of Strasbourg, she was on her terrace to smoke a cigarette, thinking about nothing in particular while looking at the sky, when she saw a very luminous ball at a height which she estimated at 600 meters, moving straight from West to East at a speed which she estimated to be much higher than that of a fighter plane.
From where she was standing, the light seemed to "come from the entire object and from within" that object even though the sky was dark that evening. There was no trail of smoke or anything behind the ball.
The duration of the observation had been a few seconds.
She specifies that during this observation, she was not under the influence of any product or substance, nor any drug treatment, nor alcohol.
On questioning, she clarified that she was on her terrace, with the bay window behind her, and that the object had passed over her house slightly to her right, initially seen at an elevation of 45°; she had been so surprised that she had exclaimed "oh my!!! what is this thing", so that her husband in the living room had heard her. But by the time he came by, there was nothing anymore, the object was way too fast and had suddenly disappeared.
She also reported a sighting she made on March 1, 2009.

Type de "phénomène": Deplacement très rapide d'une boule compacte très lumineuse blanche (pas de trainée de fumée ou autre derrière le boule, pas comme une comete par ex).

Le 19 .02. 2009 j'etais vers 21h sur ma terasse pour fumer une cigarette, je ne pensais à rien de special tout en regardant le ciel, lorsque j'ai vu une boule très lumineuse à une hauteur que j estimerais à 600m d altitude filer de façon rectiligne d'Ouest vers l'Est à une vitesse que je qualifierais de bien superieure à un avion de chasse. L'objet etait de forme spherique.
Depuis l'endroit ou je l'ai vu la lumière semblait venir de l'objet entier et de l'interieur de cet objet alors que le ciel etait sombre ce soir la.
Je precise que lors de cette observation je n'etais sous l'emprise d'aucun produit ou substance, ni aucun traitement medicamenteux ,ni alcool.

Type of "phenomenon": Very fast movement of a very luminous compact white ball (no trail of smoke or other behind the ball, not like a comet for example).

On 19 .02. 2009 I was around 9 p.m. on my terrace to smoke a cigarette, I was thinking of nothing special while looking at the sky, when I saw a very luminous ball at a height that I would estimate at 600m altitude spinning straight from West to East at a speed which I would describe as far superior to a fighter plane. The object was spherical in shape.
From the place where I saw it the light seemed to come from the whole object and from the interior of this object while the sky was dark that evening.
I specify that during this observation I was not under the influence of any product or substance, nor any drug treatment, nor alcohol.

Type de "phénomène":Objet volant stationnaire avec deux feux très rapprochés lumineux et blancs.
Récit complet de votre observation (5 lignes minimum):le 01 er mars nous rentrions de notre visite chez des amis à Meyenheim (68-haut rhin) lorsque sur l'A35 nous avons vu un objet etrange proche d'Entzheim, en vol stationnaire (hauteur env 200m du sol), l'objet etait très lumineux aussi depuis la distance et cette luminosité impossible de decrire sa forme exacte. En suivant notre route nous nous sommes approchés de l'objet, la luminosité était plus forte, mais la lumière ne touchait pas le sol ou autre ( cad pas de faisseau comme par ex un helico qui peut srcuter quelque chose), mon mari l'a vu, l' a trouvé vraiment etrange (et il aurait pu donner une explication rationelle mieux que moi même car assez callé en matiere d'avions, mais là...). Ce n'etais pas un dispositif de prevention pour l'aviation ( l'aeroport est à côté Entzheim).
Nous avons regardé autant que possible, et subitement l'objet a disparu ( comme une ampoule qui s'eteint), aucune trace, rien.
Je precise ici aussi que ni mon mari, ni moi même etions sous l'emprise d'alcool, de substances medicamenteuses ou autre.

Type of "phenomenon": Stationary flying object with two bright white lights very close together.
Complete account of your sighting (5 lines minimum): on March 01, we were returning from our visit to friends in Meyenheim (68-haut rhin) when on the A35 we saw a strange object near Entzheim, hovering (height approx. 200m from the ground), the object was also very bright from the distance and this brightness impossible to describe its exact shape. Following our route we approached the object, the luminosity was stronger, but the light did not touch the ground or other (ie no beam like for example a helicopter which can srcuter something), my husband saw, found it really strange (and he could have given a rational explanation better than myself because quite skilled in the matter of planes, but there...). It was not a prevention device for aviation (the airport is next to Entzheim).
We looked as far as we could, and suddenly the object disappeared (like a light bulb going out), no trace, nothing.
I also specify here that neither my husband nor I were under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other.

Bonjour Astrid,
Pour celle du 19/02:
J'étais sur ma terasse, la baie vitrée dans mon dos, l'objet est passé au dessus de la maison legerement à ma droite, comment t'expliquer... imagines que tu es adosée à quelque chose ( donc la nuque pas inclinée) et tes yeux à 45° par rapport à la position si tu regardais droit devant toi. Je l'aurais vu bien plus tard si l'objet n'avait pas été aussi lumineux. C'est la brillante qui m'a percutée, donc j'ai tout de suite regardé et suivi du regard. J'étais si surprise que je me souviens avoir dit " oh la vache!!! c'est quoi ce truc", mon mari au salon m'a entendu, mais le temps qu'il vienne, plus rien (l'objet etait bien trop rapide, et d'un coup il a disparu).
Pour celle du premier Mars:
Nous avions deja remarqué un objet brillant de loin sur l'A35, mais qui pouvait:
1/ se confondre avec un avion qui quitte l'aeroport, voire une etoile, un astre il etait devant nous. Mais bizarement fixe ( alors qu'un avion bouge)
A la sortie au niveau d'Obernai, l'objet s'est retrouvé à notre droite, c'est la que nous avons remarqué qu'il ne semblait pas bouger, pour finalement deduire au niveau d'Entzheim qu'il ne bougeait pas et surtout qu'il etait bien trop bas pour un avion, bien trop proche du sol et que ce n'etait pas un helico, ça j'en suis certaine car je connais bien les lumières emises de nuit par les helicos. Et aussi cette lumière très forte mais qui n'eclairait pas en faisait un faisseau ou un halo.
Pour ce qui est des impressions: la premiere experience du 19 m'a bien plus "remuée" que la deuxieme, peut être parce que l objet se depalcait permettant ainsi de comprendre que ce n'etait vraiment pas quelque chose de normal, j'y ai pensé la nuit entiere, dailleurs j'ai assez mal dormi.
La deuxieme, c'était bizarre, mais ni mon mari ni moi avons pu etudier ce que nous avons vu, il y a peut etre une explication rationelle, quoique l'objet a disparu d'un coup aussi donc... Mais nous etions en voiture, donc entre regarder la route, et suivre l'objet du regard...
Mais bon ces deux exepriences sont a ce jour inexpliquées pour ma part.Je cherche quand mme a savoir si quelqu'un a vu quelque chose de similaire ds le 67.

For the one of 02/19:
I was on my terrace, the bay window behind me, the object passed over the house slightly to my right, how can I explain this to you... imagine that you are leaning against something (so the neck not tilted) and your eyes at 45° to the position if you were looking straight ahead. I would have seen it much later if the object had not been so bright. It was the shiny one that hit me, so I immediately looked and followed with my gaze. I was so surprised that I remember saying "oh the cow!!! what is this thing", my husband in the living room heard me, but by the time he came, nothing (the object was way too fast, and suddenly it disappeared).
For the first of March:
We had already noticed a shiny object from afar on the A35, but which could:
1/ become confused with a plane leaving the airport, even a star, a star, it was in front of us. But strangely fixed (while a plane is moving)
At the exit at Obernai, the object found itself on our right, that's where we noticed that it did not seem to move, to finally deduce at Entzheim that it did not move and especially that it was far too low for a plane, far too close to the ground and that it was not a helicopter, that I am sure because I know the lights emitted at night by helicopters. And also this very strong light but which did not illuminate it, making it a beam or a halo.
As for impressions: the first experience of 19 "moved" me much more than the second, perhaps because the object was moving, allowing me to understand that it was really not something normal , I thought about it the whole night, besides I slept quite badly.
The second one was weird, but neither my husband nor I were able to study what we saw, there may be a rational explanation, although the object suddenly disappeared too so... But we were driving, so between looking at the road, and following the object with your gaze...
But hey, these two experiences are unexplained to this day for me. I'm still trying to find out if anyone saw something similar in 67.

Et bien moi comme tu le sais, j'ai fait une observation très troublante de ressemblance en tout points avec celle que tu as fait (la 2ème) !
Les seules différences sont la date et le lieu...
Toi le premier mars 2009 près de l'aéroport d'Entzheim et moi le 27 février 2009 près de l'aéroport de Bâle Mulhouse (ou plutôt la base aérienne 132 de Meyenheim).
Moi je ne l'ai pas vue disparaitre cela dit !
Je suis content que quelqu'un ait vue la même chose que moi.. même si j'aurais préférer avoir des témoignages pour le même jour et le même lieu que mon observation !
Je pense que dans les temps à venir, si j'ai le temps, je ferais des petits tours dans le même secteur en prenant soin d'emmener mon appareil photo !

Well I, as you know, made a very disturbing observation of resemblance in all respects to the one you did (the 2nd one)!
The only differences are the date and place...
You on March 1, 2009 near Entzheim airport and me on February 27, 2009 near Basel Mulhouse airport (or rather Meyenheim air base 132).
I didn't see it disappear though!
I'm glad someone saw the same thing as me.. even if I would have preferred to have testimonies for the same day and the same place as my observation!
I think that in the future, if I have the time, I will do short tours in the same area, taking care to bring my camera!

Oui nos observations sont troublantes, j'espere y trouver une réponse et je continue à faire ma propre enquete, je tacherais tantôt de repasser dans le secteur de jour et de nuit, et aussi voir si d'autres personnes ont comme moi vu ce phenomene.
Si tu veux, je peux par le biais de mes amis qui justement vivent à Meyenheim essayer de savoir s'il y a eu d'autres temoins.

Yes our observations are troubling, I hope to find an answer to them and I continue to do my own investigation, I will try to go back to the sector day and night, and also see if other people have like me seen this phenomenon.
If you want, I can, through my friends who live in Meyenheim, try to find out if there were other witnesses.
