ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Case of Lingolsheim, in 1993 or 1994:

Case number:

On November 24, 2007, Michael G. reported his observation on the UFO forum "Les MystèRes des OVNI"; to which he participates.

He told he is 30, located in Strasbourg, a graphic designer, web designer, UFO and ice hockey enthusiast.

He said he saw "three lights in triangle" in Lingolsheim in 1993 or 1994.

One night, being on the balcony of their old apartment, he saw, to the south, three white light "in triangle", moving slowly to the north direction.

"The object" stopped, remaining stationary about 5 to 6 seconds, then went in the opposite direction, towards the south, very quickly.

A friend had told him the next day he had seen the same thing, but he has no contact with that friend anymore. He had told about the sighting to a few people around him, but apart from his former history teacher, no one had believed him.

Subject: 1993/1994: Three triangular lights (Lingolsheim) Sat, November 24, 2007, 1:45 p.m.

As some already know the dates are a little blurry. All I can tell you is that it happened in 1993 or 1994.

That evening I was on the balcony of our former flat. It was night. I saw southbound, three white light in a triangle, moving slowly to the north. The object stoped [sic] for about 5 to 6 seconds, then left in the opposite direction (South direction) very quickly.

A friend told me the next day he saw the same thing. Unfortunately I do not have any contact with him. I told a few people around me and except my old history teacher nobody believed me. The debunking is more effective than reality.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in the report that can suffice to explain the sighting one way of another; it could have been many things, satellites, planes, helicopters, etc.

Low strangeness, insufficient information.
