As its name suggests, ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

[Ref. bi1:] "THE NICAP WEBSITE":

July 22, 1977; Croix-en-Plaine, France

An 18 meter in diameter domed, bowl-shaped disc hovered 50 meters over a house in Croix-en-Plaine, France at 10:30 p.m. Rays from the UFO converged on the roof of the house. (Source: Lumieres dans la Nuit, November 1979).

One crucial information is missing and everything becomes unusable: if there was a noise, this could have been a helicopter, if there were no noise, it was something else.

Unidentified, but possible helicopter.
