ACUFO:

ACUFO is my comprehensive catalog of cases of encounters between aircraft and UFOs, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ACUFO catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file.

Summary:

Dr. Louis Winkler, an astronomer at Pennsylvania State University, compiled a catalog in 1982-1984 for the Fund for UFO Research (FUFOR), including a catalog of encounters between pilots and UFOs.

He noted a case from the summer of 1945, during the day, in India, summarized as follows:

An oval object, which appeared below the airplane, became hazy and changed in color from heliotrope to pink. It paced the airplane for 5 min. as it pulsated and then disappeared.

Dr. Winkler gave only "Macvey" as reference of his source.

Discussion:

I found a "John W. Macvey" who wrote in the 1960's - 1970's books such as °Alone in the Univsers°, "Space Weapons Space War", "Interstellar Travel: Past, Present, and Future", "Colonizing Other Worlds: A Field Guide", "Journey to Alpha Centauri", etc.

But I found no biography information at all about this author.

He may be the source Dr. Winkler referred to, or not.

If found no other source on the case.
