In 2025, on the show "Les légendes de la Sarthe" hosted by Simon Peverelli on the radio station France-Bleu, the host presented three cases of "encounters" and "strange and unexplained phenomena" dating back to 1954.
One of the stories, which according to the show comes from the press, takes place near La Flèche, in the Sarthe, in the autumn of 1954.
It is said that around 6 p.m., Mr. Lahaye, a farmer in Sainte-Colombe, was busy in his field digging up potatoes when he felt a presence. He looked up and saw above him a very strange cigar-shaped craft moving silently through the sky, which then landed just a few meters away from him.
Panic-stricken, he wanted to flee, but, he recounted, two small oddly dressed beings immediately paralyzed him. When he regained his senses, he observed "two Martians" who invited him to board their craft.
He refused, and the two "creatures" then promised to return, but he never saw them again.
[Ref. spi1:] SIMON PEVERELLI - "LES LEGENDES DE LA SARTHE":
On the websites of the national radios Radio France and France Bleu, in the presentation of the radio show "Les légendes de la Sarthe" by Simon Peverelli, the text says:
In 1954, the Sarthe department witnessed strange and unexplained phenomena. Legend has it that they could be small beings from elsewhere...
Mr. Lahaye, a farmer near La Flèche, reportedly experienced an unforgettable moment. He recounts seeing in 1954 a flying craft moving through the sky... and landing in his field! Two small strange beings then reportedly emerged from the craft to invite him to come, but Mr. Lahaye refused.
In the show itself, the presenter Simon Peverelli states:
"[... in the autumn of 1954] The peaceful life of a few residents of La Flèche is about to change, forever."
"That evening, around 6 PM, Mr. Lahaye, a farmer in Sainte-Colombe, is busy in his field digging up potatoes, until he feels a presence. He looks up and sees above him a very strange cigar-shaped craft moving silently through the sky, when suddenly, the craft lands just a few meters away from him."
"Panic ensues. Mr. Lahaye wants to run, but he recounts that two small oddly dressed beings immediately paralyzed him. And when he regained his senses, the man from Sarthe observed two Martians inviting him to board their craft. He refused, and the two creatures then promised to return with the craft, but Mr. Lahaye never saw them again."
Note: it was specified during the show that the stories presented come from the press, but the exact sources are not provided.

This story, apparently not found in ufology literature, loses credibility due to the mention of two "Martian women" and some sort of conversation.
It is possible that the "witness" was simply inspired by the fable of "Mr. Martin" on the island of Oléron on October 11, 1954, widely reported in the press, many newspapers enjoying the most improbable stories.
