October 7, 1954, Orly, Val-de-Marne:

Reference for this case: 7-Oct-54-Orly.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

In their 1979 book "La Grande Peur Martienne" ("The Great Martian Scare"), the two "skeptical" ufologists Gérard Barthel and Jacques Brucker indicated that there was an observation on October 7, 1954, in "Orly-Seine (at the time)", whose witness was "not found after investigation", and that the case "enters the series of very succinct cases."

The two authors note this case of October 7, 1954:

"Orly-Seine (at the time): untraceable witness after investigation. Goes into the series of the very sparse cases."

Totally insufficient information.

Obviously Barthel and Brucker made the case "more succinct" than it must have been, as they do not even tell us what their source was for the case.

And what about the witness name? There must have been one, otherwise, how would he or she have been searched in vain?
