Summary:

On January 7, 1954, at 4:27 a.m., a big meteor passed in the sky, reported mainly above the Nord and the Seine-Maritime department; it finally exploded near Dieppe.

Archivist Guy Quincy, in the 1950s, noted that there was among the sightings of what he thought might be a meteor, perhaps, a sighting of something luminous in "Gournay" in the North of the Seine-Maritime department, at 4:28 a.m.
