November 6, 1954, Labuissière, Pas-de-Calais:

Reference for this case: 6-Nov-54-Labuissière.

In an article of jokingly tone, the Journal de Bruay local newspaper told on November 7, 1954, that "Saturday" - therefore November 6, 1954 - a worker of the Atelier Central on the National Road in Labuissière, near the Hesdigneul airfield, reportedly saw a flying saucer around 3 a.m. from the window of his house.

At the 4 Corners

Flying saucer:

We did not yet have this section today as we learned that a worker at the Ateliers Centraux dt [sic] route Nationale in Labuissière (near the Hesdigneul airfield) reportedly saw a flying saucer on Saturday morning around 3 a.m. from his house window.

We advise our readers who may see a saucer or a flying cigar in the sky, to kindly notify our correspondent (Office 33, rue V.-Hugo).

Besides, if you meet a Martian, please bring him to us for a photo. A big reward will be offered to whoever brings us a Martian.

Totally insufficient information.

The proximity of the airfield may hold the explanation, of course.

Labuissière was joined to the next city and renamed Bruay-la-Buissière in 1987.
