Summary:

In Jean Giraud's catalog in his special bulletin about "landings" in Auvergne, we learn that this case of October 4, 1954, in Chirat, near Prompsat, in the Puy-de-Dome, was reported in the regional newspaper La Montagne, Clermont-Ferrand edition of October 8, 1954.

Around 07:15 p.m., Guy Barthélémy, 14, saw on the crest of Chanteloze at 60 meters from him a cylindrical machine placed on the ground, silent and motionless.

He went to his house to get an electric lamp, but when he returned, the object was gone.

The next day two parallel furrows, 1 meter long and 50 cm apart, were found on the ground.

The magazine indicates that on October 4, 1954, in Prompsat, Puy-de-Dôme, Barthélémy Guy, of Chirat, aged 14, saw a cylindrical machine posed on the ground 60 meters away of him, and that the following day, two parallel furrows of 1 meter length and distant of 50 centimeters were found at the place where the object had been, and that this was reported in the newspaper La Montagne for October 8, 1954.

THE FACTS.

This Monday, around 7:15 p.m. the young Barthélémy aged 14 saw on the Chanteloze ridge at 60 m. from him, a cylindrical machine placed on the ground silent and motionless. He went to his home to get a flashlight, but when he returned, the object had disappeared. The next day, one found on the ground, two parallel furrows of 1 m. long and 50 cm apart.

No investigation was made.

The two authors indicate that in Chirat near Prompsat in the Puy-de-Dôme, on October 4, 1954 at 07:15 p.m., a 14 years old boy, Guy Barthélémy, saw on the peak of Chanteloze within 60 meters from him, a cylindrical machine posed on the ground, silent and motionless. He run in his residence to take a flashlight, but on his return, the object had disappeared.

The next day, two parallel furrows of 1 meter length and distant of 50 centimeters were found on the ground.

The two authors note that the information is sparse.

They indicate that the sources are La Montagne for 9/10/1954; and "INFO OVNI Catalogue d'observations - Atterrissages en Auvergne".

The Belgian ufologist indicates in her catalogue that in 1954, on October 4 in France in Chirat (Prompsat), at "19:15, Guy Barthélémy, 14-year-old, sees on the peak of Chanteloze, at 60 m of him, a cylindrical craft posed with ground, silent and motionless. He runs home to get a flashlight, but on his return the object had disappeared. Traces on the ground."

Shes indicates the source as "M. FIGUET/ J.L. RUCHON: 'Ovni, Premier dossier complet...' Alain Lefeuvre pub. 1979, p. 118".

Luc Chastan notes in his database that in the "Puy de Dômes" in Prompsat on October 4, 1954 at 07:15 p.m., "a 14-year-old young boy sees on the peak of Chanteloze at 60 m from him, a cylindrical craft posed on the ground, silent and motionless. He runs home to get a flashlight, but on his return, the object disappeared. Brief information. The next day, one found on the ground, two parallel furrows of 1 m length and 50 cm apart."

Luc Chastan indicates as source: "Ovni, Premier dossier complet... by Figuet M./ Ruchon J.L. ** Alain Lefeuvre pub. 1979".
