Summary:

In his 1997 book "Le Dossier 1954 et l'Imposture Rationaliste", author Jean Sider indicated that he found the following case in the newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain for October 21, 1954.

On Tuesday, October 19, 1954, in the evening, a tradesman from Saint-Avold, who was returning from a tour, saw a luminous craft take off from a field near Faulquemont in the Moselle department. The thing disappeared in the direction of the town of L'Hôpital.

Jean Sider indicates that on Tuesday October 19, 1954 in the evening, a tradesman of Saint-Avold who was driving back from his round saw a luminous machine take off from a a field close to Faulquemont in the Moselle, and disappear in the direction to the town of L'Hôpital [zip code 57490].

Jean Sider indicates that his source is the article of the newspaper Le Republicain Lorrain for October 21, 1954.

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Moselle in Faulquemont on October 19, 1954, at an unknown hour" in the evening, a tradesman of Saint-Avold who returned of a round saw a luminous machine take off from a field, it disappeared in the direction of the city's Hospital."
