The regional newspaper Le Provençal for September 20, 1954, reported that on the night of Saturday, September 18, 1954, many residents of Vichy observed a luminous saucer-shaped craft moving fast in the sky.
One of the witnesses, Mr. Isnardon, said that this "craft" had "disappeared almost immediately."
In 1958, the ufologist Aimé Michel gave a wrong date to the case, writing it was on October 19, 1954.

Rome, September 19. -- Italy, in turn, has received visits from "flying saucers," or rather from a "flying half-cigar," if we are to refer to the shape of the craft seen by thousands of people, including military personnel belonging to aeronautical observation services.
Let us say right away that while the presence of the mysterious object is indisputable, its nature could not be identified, and no conclusions can be drawn from the observation of the phenomenon.
Here are the facts.
Friday afternoon in Rome, many onlookers had their eyes to the sky: "A flying saucer! - No, it looks more like a half-cigar!"
