A considerable influx of tourists from all over France and even from abroad has gathered in Valensole since Sunday, particularly in the field where Mr. Masse is said to have seen a strange "machine" inhabited by human-shaped creatures.
Although the lavender field where the craft is said to have landed is accessed by a fairly difficult road, a large number of people from all walks of life are curiously digging the ground.
Already on Friday, a few curious people were feverishly digging the "hole", the only visible vestige of the passage of beings from another planet. The size of a bottle at the time of Mr. Masse's statements, the "hole" is currently nearly a meter deep and is the subject of more or less passionate comments. Everyone takes a stone or a bit of earth.
While the gendarmerie has regained their serenity, the same is not true for Mr. Masse. Indeed, according to reliable information, Mr. Masse, deeply affected by the mocking comments, would have sunk into a state of nervous depression.
