Readers called us yesterday evening to tell us that they had observed a bright spot to the west, in the sky above the Mitre, around 8:30 p.m.
The Mitre meteorological services that we contacted did not notice anything abnormal, nor did the semaphores in the surrounding area.
Are these luminous flares launched by the Fort de St Elme?
It is not impossible.
