UFOs in the daily Press:

UFO or Corona effect in France, 1974:

The article below was published in the daily newspaper Var-Matin - République, France, on August 28, 1974.

Le Luc:

Another unidentified flying object in Peyrons?

One of our readers who wishes to remain anonymous tells us:

"On Friday, during the storm that hit the heights of Le Luc, around 4 p.m., my wife was surprised, while looking up the hill, in the direction of Peyrons, to see an object stopped above the high-voltage power line that crosses the limestone bar in the direction of Recoux.

White in color, the UFO had the shape of a "pressure cooker", and seemed to emit light waves. A humming sound was clearly audible. The observation lasted a few seconds, then my wife called me to see. By the time we arrived... the flying object had disappeared."

Two hypotheses can be put forward: either this is a surge on the power line with the appearance of an arc and the creation of a luminous phenomenon accentuated by the low sky, or it is truly a UFO in an area that they like, as confirmed by Mr. Erick Kalmar, president of the Luc tourist office.

"The presence of sinkholes or terrestrial faults often corresponds with the manifestation of extraterrestrials", he tells us, but the area in question is known for its chasms, to the point that a farmer one day saw his horse and plow disappear near Saint Pastour.

We provide our readers with these elements without reservation.
