A MYSTERIOUS CRAFT LANDS IN THE MOSELLE

METZ. -- After making their appearance in almost every region, mysterious craft now seem to be focusing on Lorraine, where, until recently, little attention was paid to these various reports. Since yesterday morning, public opinion has shifted, and the topic is now the subject of discussion.

Mr. Louis Moll, a railway gatekeeper known as a man of calm temperament and respected by the entire population as well as his superiors, decided to make a statement yesterday morning at the Bouzonville gendarmerie.

On Sunday, around 9:15 p.m., coming from the east, an object surrounded by a bright glow descended from space and landed on the heights of Tromborn. The craft, of fairly large dimensions, changed the hue of its light, which resembled that of a neon tube.

Regarding the actual size of the craft, Mr. Moll specified that it seemed to him to be about the size of a bus.

After a stop of about 4 seconds, the glow became reddish, and inside the craft itself, he thought he saw points that were moving around.

Without any perceptible noise, and with a rotation, the craft ascended vertically, turning orange, then flattened and disappeared at high speed toward the southeast. The entire event lasted nearly a minute.

The Bouzonville gendarmerie, to which Mr. Moll made his statement on Tuesday morning, is conducting an investigation and is attempting to locate and, above all, identify other witnesses to this strange phenomenon—witnesses who are reportedly numerous but who, out of fear of ridicule, have so far refrained from coming forward.
