Rome, 19 October. -- Italy experienced today the most intense activity of "saucers" and other "craft." One of them - a disc that, quite classically, emitted light rays - even landed near Capri on the terrace of writer Curzio Malaparte's villa. Four little men climbed out and stretched their legs for twenty minutes without the lone witness raising the alarm. The disc then took off vertically, as one would expect.
A more serious case was reported in Livorno, where a witness, Bruno Senési, 34, arrived at the hospital shouting:
- They're persecuting me... Lights... Smoke... The Martians are coming to take me...
He was immediately committed.
