The "saucer" psychosis continues to develop, bringing more negative elements than positive clarifications.
In Metz, where a spotlight installed within the grounds of the local trade fair supposedly revealed a "craft" at an altitude of 6,000 meters, even though its range was only 3,000 meters, the military authority, after investigation, states:
"There is no need to take these reports into consideration in this particular case."
In Toulouse as well, the saucer dropping Vietnamese texts fizzled out. The recovered leaflets were part of a propaganda brochure by Prince Buu Loc, discussing the entry of ships into Indochinese ports and fish shipments.
A German "scientist," Hermann Oberth, who lent his name to the infamous V-2s, has become the champion of a theory claiming that "the pilots of the saucers are intelligent plants" coming from a planet outside our solar system.
The distinguished theorist is careful not to specify, however, what he bases his speculations on, nor to explain why these plants he seems to know so well would come from so far just to have such discouraging encounters with Earthlings.
