UFOs in the daily Press:

Farmer picked up in luminous beams, Mirande, France, 1976:

The article below was published in the daily newspaper La D p che du Midi, France, on July 25, 1976.

A FARMER CAUGHT IN A UFO BEAM

MIRANDE, on the night of Friday to Saturday around midnight, it was a farmer from the Condom region, Mr. Franco Bonandrini, who saw this extraterrestrial phenomenon.

It occurred on his property, on the edge of the Osse, at a place called "Escriminie".

Mr. Bonandrini observed two light beams about thirty-five centimeters in diameter and which appeared in a parallel manner at a height of one meter fifty.

Caught in these beams for a few minutes, he then moved about ten meters and was again surprised by another particularly large beam of light which appeared over a length of eight to ten meters, of cylindrical shape at the front, conical at the back and tracing a circle of forty to fifty centimeters in diameter.

This luminous phenomenon then headed in the direction of the southeast, at a speed that the witness evaluated between eighty and one hundred kilometers per hour.

This appearance did not exceed one minute. Mr. Bonandrini noticed no noise, no air blowing and no heat development.

On the ground, the next morning, no suspicious trace could be found.

The Condom gendarmerie brigade was notified and proceeded with the investigation.
