The author indicates that on November 29, 1954, in Saint-Martin-de-la-Place, Saumur, the Maine-et-Loire, there was a close encounter of the third kind by Mr. Piednoir.

Jean Sider says that according to Le Baugeois, of Baugé, for December 3, 1954, page 4, "somebody noticed a flying saucer in Saint-Martin-de-la-Place". It was a very luminous machine "and the Martian was 1 m 30". The lamp of the witness went extinct.

Subject: UFO saint martin de la place (maine et loire)
Date: November 19, 2006
From: [Pseudonym]@aol.com

hello,

In following of your UFO description St Martin de la Place, I confirm the occurrence to you.

Native of St clément des levées, a village close to St Martin, my grandparents managed a farm at the locality l'oussiere,in St clement, farm located at approximately 1,5km of the place of the landing of the object, located on the community of St Martin,in proximity of a river named authion, between the locations "le Guet de Fresne", community of St Martin, and " Patures"near St clement.

Aged 5 years at the time, my grandparents told me about "the story" about my eighth year.

According to their statements, the witness,well-knowd, was worthy of faith.

Now aged 57, it will be difficult for me to find the descent of the witness,i forgot his name.

I immediatly start investigations at people of more than 80 years old for additional information.

According to your website, the same facts occurred on the community of blaison gohier on November 20, 1954, that is, 4 days before

St Martin the distance between the two villages, in straight line, is of approximately 6 km.

It is, in my opinion, difficult to question the word of the witnesses, certainly brave farmers,"amazed at their vision"!

I will inform you of my research being half-way of the two concerned villages.

Yours sincerely [Initials]

The author indicates that there was a close encounter of the third kind in Saint-Martin-de-la-Place, Saumur, the Maine-et-Loire, on the evening of November 29, 1954, with Mr. Piednoir as witness.

He had seen a very luminous machine posed in a wheat field and the pilot of the machine, 1 m 30 tall; and "the lamp was reported to go extinct".

The sources are indicated as Le Beaugeois, of Beaugé, for December 3, 1954; L'Echo Républicain, of Sablé, for December 11 1954; Jean Sider, Le Dossier 1954 et l'imposture rationaliste, pages 227-228.

Explanations:

Not looked for yet.

Here is probably one of the poorest report ever since except a date, a village name, a time, mention of a luminous thing and a small humanoid, no other information seems available for a case that emerged more than 40 years after it allegedly occurred.

The report is much too meager to evaluate.
