Summary:

Ufologist and author Jean Sider reported in his 1997 book that he found this case of October 19, 1954, at an unknown time, in Valette, near Saint-Avold, department of Moselle, in an article on page 6 of the newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain for October 21, 1954.

Auguste Kempenich, resident of Valette, had told that a flying saucer had landed not far from his field. The foliage of several trees had been burned and the earth had been "plowed" in several places.

Jean Sider noted that the plowed ground could have be caused by saucer as well as by wild boars.
