ACUFO:

ACUFO is my comprehensive catalog of cases of encounters between aircraft and UFOs, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ACUFO catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file.

Summary:

In 1984, Dr. Louis Winkler, an astronomer at the Pennsylvania State University, completed a catalogue he compiled for the Fund for UFO Research (FUFOR), about UFO reports.

A part of his catalogue was about encounters of UFOs by pilots, and an entry therein stated that in May 1944, in Austria, "a German pilot photographed one of the objects."

He indicated that this came from "OUFO" Volume 1, issue 2.

No information on the aircraft is available, except that there was a German pilot involved.

Discussion:

I was unable to find anything on the publication "OUFO" which would be the source for this story, neither its nature, nor publication dates.

Moreover, neither the alleged photo nor any other information about this case seems to exist.

Evaluation:

Totally insufficient and doubtful information.
