US ARMY
FOUND A
"FLYING DISK"

ROSSWELL [sic] - NEW MEXICO (AP). -- US Army has announced that a "flying disk" has been found in a farm near Rosswell [sic] and that it is currently in possession of its services.

This discovery occurred "during last week."

The disk has been handed to the authorities of the airfield of the military base of Rosswell [sic] by the local police.

The army has communicated no additional detail about this sensational discovery.

Brief comment:

Patrick Gross:

This is one among what I believe to have been hundreds or more short articles in regional daily newspapers all around the world which mentionned the official press release by the Roswell Aemy Air Field of their recovery of a "flying disc" near Roswell, New Mexico.

This one is based of the Associated Press newswire rather than on its Agence France Presse equivalents.

The reason for which I rather have this particular article than some other from some Swedish regional newspaper is simply that I am Alsacien.

"Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace," generally dubbed "les DN" ou "DNA" in my region, and "L'Alsace" are the two long-time leading regional newspaper in Alsace. The "DNA" web site is on www.dna.fr
