Washington, Nov. 10. -- The Admiralty issued a statement last night announcing that one of its torpedo boats, the "Blue," had made contact with an object of "undetermined" nature. No details are known, and the Navy spokesman stated that it was not yet known whether it was a submarine or "some other object."
The position of the "Blue" has not been given by the Admiralty, but it is known that the radio message received in Washington emanated from the Second Naval District at San Diego. The ship is presumed to be somewhere off the coast of California.
