A "flying saucer" is seen in the sky over Sedan

SEDAN. -- A flying saucer was seen Monday evening in the sky over Carignan and Sedan.

It may seem curious that we are reporting the phenomenon only today, but in truth those who saw the silvery craft streaking through the night, leaving behind it a dazzling phosphorescent trail, hardly dare reveal it for fear of being taken for hoaxers or simply for people under some sort of spell.

However, according to the investigation that we personally conducted as soon as we learned of this appearance, it is confirmed that on Monday, at 8:18 p.m., in Carignan and immediately afterward in Sedan, a luminous craft, sometimes taking the shape of a saucer and sometimes that of a giant jug, was clearly seen in the starry sky. The very character of the witnesses leaves no room for joking or suspicion. It is precisely because they are so definite and because their information complements one another in a very curious way that their accounts deserve to be taken into consideration.

The luminous craft was moving from east to west at a disconcerting speed. One of the witnesses is categorical in stating that the saucer flew more particularly over the region of Amblimont.

It should be noted that the same evening, in Paris, around 8:30 p.m., the presence of this mysterious aerial phantom was reported, which, to say the least, left a strange impression on those who followed its wild course through space and who strongly deny having been the victims of an illusion.
