A ball of white foam landed at the Quimper train station

Quimper, 22 -- In its Thursday edition, "Le Télégramme" offered a very plausible explanation for certain sightings of flying saucers. In some cases, these might simply be traces left by "Stratojet" planes flying at very high altitudes. The formation of white foam moving through the sky would be due to the condensation, in the thin and cold upper atmosphere, of certain elements of the Stratojet's fuel.

Yesterday, at the Quimper station, a phenomenon identical to the one reported in Vienne (Isère) was observed. It was around 10 a.m. when railway employees—including Mr. Moreau, deputy mayor of Ergué-Armel, and Mr. Blanchard, national station assistant and signal operator—saw a white ball land at the end of the platform. Naturally, this phenomenon sparked widespread curiosity. Upon landing, the ball had retained an approximately spherical shape and resembled soap foam in appearance.

As for its smell, some claimed it was similar to cologne, others said it smelled like soap, and still others asserted that the mysterious ball had no odor at all.

Finally, when one tried to grasp part of this kind of foam between their fingers, it completely vanished, leaving absolutely nothing behind.

The general intelligence services, alerted by Mr. Moreau, went to the site.
