The locally-invented airship, which is to be given a trial at Brown's Island, is to be taken down the harbour by motor launch launch this afternoon. The holders of the patent rights (Messrs. Claude and A. W. A. Barnard) will fit the parts together on the island, and a flight will be made as early as possible. One of the brothers, informed a Herald representative yesterday that he was afraid a trial could not be carried out to-day, as stipulated by the Winter Show Committee. However, they would do their best, and, if possible, the model would be shown at next week's exhibition.
