On full moon nights

Weird phenomena in the sky of the Aude

Coincidences or phenomena due to the full moon and the clearness of the sky, two witnesses claim to have seen, in hardly 24 hours of interval, a strange phenomenon in the sky of the High-Valley of the Aude.

First observation, Sunday [January 30, 1994] about midnight, on the heights of Quillan. Friends return from the movies, and notice close to the Big Dipper [1], a source of light much more brilliant than stars. "It was a kind of large star, very brilliant. It was not very high in the sky, just above the hills. It rotated at a tremendous speed, but moved very slowly. With the binoculars, we could see that it was surrounded by a red light."

The next day, [February 1, 1994] at approximately 06:20 p.m., a man walks his dog in Chalabre. Whereas he observes the starry sky, a sort of huge ship with two chimneys appears to him in the sky.

"It was very high in the sky, at 5.000 meters perhaps. It made two very fast circles on itself. There were several colors, it was a little like a Christmas tree. My dog was like insane. Then, all disappeared. "

Strange testimonys... weird phenomena. The rational minds will conclude it was a natural phenomenon of the stars, the most inclined to believe in UFOs will see a message of the aliens in this. To each his own thing...

[1] The Moon at this time and place is not at all close to the Big Dipper. Mars, Jupiter and Venus are under the horizon.
