Everything is known in the end

"Last week we saw three flying saucers on the railroad tracks near Saint-Etienne-sous-Barbuise !!"

told us two workers of Arcis-sur-Aube

Actually, we started to worry. The Aube had been part of the windshield explosions epidemic like all departments who respect themselves had been, but had not known a landing of a flying saucer or some mysterious craft from beyond.

It was not natural as from everywhere saucers, cigars, flying barrels and hairy Martians are reported. It was enough to get an inferiority complex,

Finally the news came...

"We saw bright craft on the side of Arcis."

And the information was clarified:

It is on the railroad tracks near the crossing at the exit of St-Etienne-sous-Barbuise on the road to Arcis that two men the father and the son, returning from work, saw three mysterious craft a week ago already.

But for fear of being ridiculed, they said nothing... or almost nothing, and it is slowly that the announcement of the event transpired. First to the Oerbaud sawmill where they work, and then finally in the region of Arcis.

And we went yesterday to see them at their workplace. We found MM. Marcel and Jacques Guyot amid piles of timber and they were nice enough to tell us what they saw, for our readers.

They did it very simply.

Let's listen to Marcel Guyot, the father:

"Well, sir, that's it! It was at night, like every night, I came home from work by bicycle and I hasted to clear the crossing before the arrival of the Micheline. It was 7:25 approximately. All of a sudden, what do I see: three shining "machines", but then shining, white as snow, I'm telling you it seemed weird, it did not move. It was big "like this" (Mr. Guyot rises a hand up to his face). A normal size actually... "They" were 150 meters from the crossing.

"What do you want me to tell you. This is what I saw and nothing else. I did not say anything immediately because I thought people would laugh and then as I was reading over and over on newspapers that were everywhere, I told some friends. And now you know. That's fast!"

It is then the son, Jacques Guyot who tells us his adventure.

"I passed by ten minutes after my father, at the crossing, not far away, 30 meters ("they" must have moved) I saw three "things" that shone. It was white, a bit yellowish, "one" was round, and "two" were elongated. I had never seen that. I told to myself: it's got to be a saucer. I saw them smaller than my father. It changes fast...

"That's all I can tell you."

We were puzzled and seeing our hesitations and as we frowned cautiously, Marcel Guyot said:

"Be assured, sir, that if it happens again, I'll tell you. Besides, next time, I would go in the little wood there behind the home of Mrs. Chepy, the country guard. From there, I'll be able to watch and to see well."

Let's wait.
