PARIS. -- The round of "flying saucers" continues. Mysterious craft are being reported in the skies everywhere.
In Saint-Etienne-sous-Barbusse, Mr. Marcel Guyot, 45, and his son Jacques, 21, reported seeing mysterious craft on the railway tracks.
- "It was around 7:30 p.m., and I was riding my bicycle home," Mr. Marcel Guyot told us, "when just as I was crossing the level crossing on the road to Arcis-sur-Aube, I suddenly saw three craft on the railway tracks, emitting a strong white light. Surprised at first, I continued on my way, and only later did I realize that they might have been flying saucers. But I didn’t dare turn back."
Mr. Jacques Guyot, who passed by the same location a few minutes after his father, confirmed the account, adding more detail:
- "One of the craft," he told us, "was round like a saucer, while the other two were elongated like cigars."
The news made a strong impression in the Aube region, as it was the first time such craft had reportedly touched down in the department. And, well! People were starting to get worried.
A green paralyzing ray reportedly pinned to the ground, near Le Mans, on the Le Mans - Paris highway, some Renault company workers near whom a saucer had landed.
- Stars as big as the moon were seen by two people. This happened in Ballon (Sarthe).
- A flying egg was seen in Lavenay (Sarthe), by Mr. Maurice Burge and several witnesses.
- A meteorology technician from the Arnage station (Sarthe) saw two dark red lights in the sky moving without leaving a trail. He will file a report.
- A red disc was seen in Les Aubiers (Deux-Sèvres) by Mmes Bremand, Couturie, and Girard, as well as by Mr. Camille Blain, municipal councilor of Bressuire.
