A young Britton claims:

"I SAW A FLYING SAUCER"

BREST. -- A young carpenter of Bolezec, small borough located at the south-east of Morlaix, the border of the Finistère and the Côte-du-Nord, claims to have closely seen the evolutions of a flying saucer in the night of Saturday to Sunday, the saucer having landed at a few meters of his "Dauphine" [car]. Mr. Eugene Coquil, aged 23, told his adventure:

"It was 4 a.m. and I was driving on the Morlais-Calzac road when saw the rays of light of what I thought at once of being a tractor, for at this place only a tractor could circulate. But what could it do there at this hour? I stopped my car and I walked through the field in direction of the lights. At this point in time I saw the "thing" to arrive on me, in complete silence, and pass at near ground level above a slope. I became frightened and fled towards my "Dauphine", but the "thing" followed me and after having hovered above my car, it went to land a few meters from there, on a small hillock.

"I could have gone to look, but I was too afraid. I however could detail the apparatus, which seemed to me as long as a car, but much broader. It was enlightened outside by four luminous columns resembling lights of a "404" [car] with a light identical to that of the neon signs. I did not see anybody, but I am almost certain that there were port-holes on the side. When I succeeded in starting my car, the apparatus remained on the spot. I wanted only one thing: to go away from there as fast as possible."

Mr. Eugene Coquil, who is a balanced boy, serious and very sober, had never believed, until now, in the stories of flying saucers.
