MADRID, September 5. -- "The flying saucers are devices manufactured in the United States," declared today the New York correspondent of the Phalangist newspaper "Arriba".
According to the Spanish newspaper, the flying saucers are nothing more than "guided missiles, pilotless planes, and supersonic rockets of the American armed forces", but, it adds, it is possible that some of them are of Soviet manufacture.
The correspondent does not cite the source of this information. He promises, however, to soon publish a technical description of "these instruments with a diabolical appearance". For now, he merely notes that some of these devices can fly at a speed of five thousand kilometers per hour.
INNSBRUCK. -- A pink disc the size of the moon, slowly moving from west to east, was observed on September 1 between 11 a.m. and noon by a guide and his two children, near the Habicht mountain range.
Furthermore, about twenty people claim to have seen for more than an hour in the Bludenz region "a silver object the size of a ball" slowly flying over the summit of the Davena.
MUNICH. -- A flat object, circular in shape and with "fringed" edges was seen above the town of Obersuessbach (Bavaria) by several people who were picking hops.
The witnesses unanimously stated that it stood out clearly against the clear sky, and that they could not have been victims of an optical illusion.
Moreover, American authorities are conducting an investigation to verify the claims of some residents of the village of Landshut, who said they saw a plane drop hundreds of balloons. These allegedly burst at about one hundred meters from the ground, and from their casings escaped "something" that resembled swarms of insects.
