CLERMONT-FERRAND, September 21. -- Several residents of Clermont have reported seeing a luminous, very elongated oval-shaped craft flying above the Puy-de-Dôme, appearing to move rather slowly toward the northeast.
Four people in particular stated they observed the object for two minutes before it disappeared while gaining altitude. All witnesses were certain: no sound could be heard. It could not have been an airplane.
